Mr. Ian holds Post-Graduate Diploma in Agriculture from Agro-studies, Israel. He also holds a BSC. Degree (Hons) in Agriculture with specialty in Crop Science from Makerere University Kampala, Uganda. He has equally participated in an Agricultural Training program in the United States sponsored by Communicating for Agriculture Exchange Programs.
He has accumulated experience, with a strong background in Animal & Crop enterprises through training with PRIOR, Mehadrine, Kibbutz in Israel, PayDak in the United States, T&D Rolf in the United States, Golden Sunrise Dairies in the United States and practicing with Makerere University Agriculture Research Institute Kabanyolo (MUARIK).
He has worked with CIDI Farmers in Kyotera, CIDI gardening School and Mubende farmers through the Singo People’s Development Trust Bank (SIPDET). He has immensely contributed towards developing innovations and concepts targeting smallholder farmers as vehicles of economic transformation.
Ian has a passion of changing the agriculture sector through use of ICT enabled innovations to empower smallholder farmers into a self-sufficient economic entity, capable of running a profitable business.
He also believes the 10-12 million youth who annually seek to enter Africa’s work force, once re-skilled and helped to articulate their demand can substantially contribute towards the Agriculture Transformations Agenda.
